Macro

This photo was taken in the Digital Photography room on the 18th. I wasn't actually expecting this photo to turn out as good as it did, but it has appeared to me to be the best of my macro shots taken this week. Most of the class probably recalls the ridiculous beeping of my camera's timer (I'm trying to fix that) when I set up the shot.

Andy Warhol effect

This is an image of me in my photography class. I have taken the image and made a black/white version of it and created this Andy Warhol style image with 4 different colors using Gimp 2.0.

Photo Composition

These are my photo submissions for the composition assignment for my photography class. Each one shows one or multiple elements of composition but each one has a different major element.

Rule of Thirds - Tree over pond
Texture - Brick wall with rail
Pattern - Row of lockers
Depth of Field - Lens cap
Symmetry - Table
Lines - Ceiling shot
Framing - Person in hallway enterance
Perspective - Round mirror reflection
Space - Wall plug
Balance - Dracopedia
Color - Flags and the rising sun

I learned that a different perspective, some photographer manipulation, and having the right settings ready for a shot can help a lot when trying to make good looking photos. When a photo doesn't quite look right, a slightly different angle or some slight interaction with the objects may make the shot look far better.
